On June 21, 2008 the community gathered to mourn the police murder of 17-year-old Javon Dawson. Family and Uhuru Organizers spoke to inspire the community to stand up and fight for Justice for Javon Dawson.

@ray6737..We will donate to Uhuru movement to united & free our people; the system is the problem to all the condition that poor black & white go through everyday. Instead creating massive police station; the money should be use to increase the minimum wage from $10 to $20, the money waste on fake war could have been using to bring the US families back home, instead letting sleep on street & cars over mortgage & students debts. Problem are created by the wealthy not by poor families.

I have three children. You can raise your children to the best of your ability but you dont know how they will grow up and turn out. I was a guidance counselor at the school where he went and i can truly say this was a good kid. He never got into any trouble and he had decent grades. I guess the police just looked at his skin and yes i am a WHITE male. This is a tragedy
