The American Ale -- created by Anheuser-Busch brewmasters to deliver robust ale taste that's full-bodied, but not too heavy nor too bitter."The neck ringer further plays up the "American" angle: "Budweiser American Ale. An ale that's distinctly American in character. Savor the difference."

  • wow that shaunG84 guy is a fuckin retard....

anyway this beer is nothing special and i doubt that it will over take original bud or bud light

  • shaunG84 guy is beyond a fuckin retard

  • My understanding is it will be on the low end of the craft beer price point. In the Sierra Nevada & Sam Adams range.

  • disgusting lol wow

  • It's pretty good beer, but Bud Light is nothing but piss water.

  • Hello,

I've shown this to a few other beer buddies.

You may like a group I started a while back on vimeo.com. It's only meant to make it easy to find beer-videos. Feel free to join if you like. Youtube doesn´t like the full link, but just paste /groups/homebrew after the .com above and you'll find it.

  • I'm drinking one now. Good stuff!

  • @OPE08 - And the American Light Lager is just about the least expensive style to make that their is. It uses the smallest grain bill, the least amount of hops, they use rice which today is VASTLY less expensive than it was a century ago. The ONLY "expensive" part of their process is the refrigerated lagering time, and thats electricity cost, not quality of ingredients.

Bud is quality like instant coffee from a lunch truck at a construction site is quality. Like it all you want...

  • @mitsufq360 - Horse-hockey.

You're trying to imply that Sierra nevada, Anchor, Boston, Stone, Lost Abbey, New Belgium, et, et, et ad infinitum have poor and inconsistent product? That there is no difference in grains, or the fact that they use rice? Or that their yeast strain is tailored to produce LESS flavor? The fact that the Macro's Field Reps are Pro's at underhanded, even illegal, tactics to try to harm the Micro's sales is telling enough.

  • @mitsufq360 I've agreed all along that just because I dislike it, doesn't make it a bad beer, but on the same token it isn't good just because you do. It is a perfect example of the American Light Lager, loved by its fans, and detested by everyone who's ever had better. Replicating Bud would be pointless, but it is ALL that AB ever did, replicate perfectly the same crap product for 75 years. That is impressive, even if the product itself isn't.

  • @OPE08 And what really makes a good beer, i'll tell you. All good bear uses malt, hops, and quality water. What makes a quality beer is sanitation, that's the key. Hence why smaller breweries don't have quality product, because their product is inconsistant. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's sweet rancid. All it takes is a little bacteria or wild yeast and your beer is screwed. I've stated before budweiser is not cheap to produce, only on the scale is it made cheap.

  • @OPE08 I use fresh because budweiser is a delicately flavored pilsner. I can notice the difference between one week and one month age. While both are good beer is always better fresher. And want skunk, try rolling rock, or Tsing Tao i think it is. Face it just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's bad. And I highly doubt you can replicate budweiser. Or me for that matter, in such a light beer even the strain of yeast will alter the flavor perceivably.

  • @mitsufq360 - Thats funny, I've been drinking beer for 20 years and i find that a pretty rare issue. If you dislike skunk, I find it common in the clear glass beers!

And I find it telling that you use Buds advertising ploy of "Fresh" as a positive descriptor.

Face it, if you like the stuff thats great, but simply because you do doesn't make it good. It is great for people who want to get loaded as cheaply and easily as they can. Its designed to be cheap, and easily replicated.
