  • Someone give me a good topic for one? I have to do one tommorow for university.

  • @tipoomaster anything you know something about or have researched, and that you can find good images for.

    Good luck!

  • The only thing that's killing me is the repeatedly HORRID pronounciation of a wonderful word. The "correct" one is just as bad. Sorry, but it really is distracting. Aren't you in Tokyo? Sorry for the snark, but it's a wonderful idea and this is terribly distracting.

  • Apologies, MedeaTor, for my bad pronunciation. I'm in the UK and have only heard other people use the word a few times myself. I'm really sorry it distracted you so much.

    :-(

  • I'm sorry you found my Pecha Kucha about Pecha Kucha boring, tyraii!!

You're absolutely right, the format is indeed just about time and slide number limit, and I've seen several PK presentations that weren't particularly interesting, but I DID know I only had to endure them for 6 minutes and 40 seconds before I could heave a sigh of relief.

    !!

  • ABSOLUTELY FREAKIN' BRILLIANT! One of the best I've seen. You will be imbedded in my blog soon...

  • Aw, you're too kind, mizkcreations! Pecha Kucha wasn't my invention, I just put together a little narrated slideshow about it.

Glad you liked it so much, though ... tell all your friends :-)

  • @tipoomaster uvic!

  • i just realize.. phenonmenon is a cool word.

  • for english speakers: the correct pronunciation is "pay-chA---coo-chA".

  • @spiraltraining Its also become used in schools. My University made students do presentations in this format.

  • Nicely done, spiraltraining. I appreciate the very nice overview to a presentation style I only heard of about 6 minutes and 40 seconds ago. You've done a nice job explaining it to me. Never mind the people who scold you for the pronunciation of the term -- what really matters is the execution of the technique, I suppose. No need to apologize for not saying it "correctly". Keep up the good work.

  • For my Pecha Kucha project I chose the topic of STEREOTYPES. i FEEL THAT IT IS SOMETHING THAT EVERYONE IN THIS ROOM CAN RELATE TO BECAUSE, WELL LET'S FACE IT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US IN THIS ROOM HAS BEEN STEREOTYPED IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER

  • This is crazy method!!!!Amazing!I have been in the lecture cover Pecha Kucha and there were 5 or 6 examples!it was so interesting! And I didn't want to sleep during it like I always do)))))
