I have just done this and the speed is still poor compared to IE6 that I have been using for 10 years. These mods don't seem to have changed my SlowFox browser as I now call it.
Why is SlowFox so bad?
I use win 200 so SlowFox is the only browser youtube will work with now.

OK I found part of the problem was just down to low data rate due to a local exchange fault so it has now improved.
