It's my granfather's Casio calculator. It can play the pitches: A B C D E F G A B C D, with no flats and sharps. It's also an alarmclock and can subtract dates/times. So if you know your exact birthdate it can calculate how old are you in seconds :)

  • By the way. Even though you got a correct calculation of days since your birth and calculate that in seconds by the simple formula you'll not be that many seconds old at the exact time of your birth. The reason is leap seconds. Wiki has a great article about leap seconds. But yeah. Normally people don't have to worry about leap seconds ;)

  • @HifiCentret considering most people don't know the exact second they were born, it's not really an issue. i just tought i'll mention it as a cute feature.

  • do you have the manual?

  • sadly thats long gone with the box.

  • wath the song is?

  • Birdland by weather report. Written by the magnificent Joe Zawinul. May he rest in peace!

  • @HifiCentret I mean it's brother ML-71 which of course is also a Casio. I can see it can be misunderstood with the company Brother.

  • @Begnoc Yes of course :)

  • Beware of date calculations! If it's like the brother ML-71 - and I have no reason to believe otherwise - it's not Y2k safe and all dates are assumed to be before Y2k.

If you need serious date calculations get an HP of the following models: 12C, 17B-II, 17B-II+, 19B-II or 38E. And probably also 17B and 19B though I haven't got my hands on those two to verify. They're all Y2k safe and got a very wide date range of several 1000 years. The 17 and 19 span double of the others!

  • where can I buy one of these. My husband has one but it is not working. Please help

  • not understand anything you said
