@rexenne Help! My husband bought me a Kiwi Spinning wheel and I finally got a chance to sit down and use it tonight. I watched your video, followed your advice and I had so much trouble I was considering selling my wheel. I pedaled and when it came time to thread the material through it would not go onto the bobbin. It twisted everything I had in my lap and it turned out to be a mess. I am so frustrated with it that I called it a night. Please help me. Am I just not a spinner?

HELP!!!!! I have a Kiwi Spinning wheel. My husband got it for me a year ago. I have been dying to try it. I am a 1st time spinner and I am finding it frustrating. I sat down and tried to spin and got so mad I was thinking of selling my wheel. I need help! I did what you said...sit and get use to the way my feet pedal, then I spun some yarn, but when it came for me adding the wool it would not thread through, and everything in my lap just twisted up. Help me please..............

I've heard that there are some inexpensive ways to build your own spinning wheel. I've been using a hand spindle and have gone as far as I can go with it, but spinning wheels (at least the ones I've seen online) have been pretty spendy. Can you recommend any sites with instructions with how to build my own?

There was some building plans on how to make a spinning wheel from an old bicycle some time ago in the Spin-Off Magazine. I can't remember which issue it was, but hey, that's as great a starting place as any. If you do a google search for "spinning wheel building plans", you'll come up with a lot of info. Good luck on yer search! I'd love to see it as you build it! Got a blog?
