@conmuchooojo Agreed. I heard someone saying we had the best army of the world. I understand some patriotism, but that's definitely overrating the power of the Navy.

The population and GDP are the stamina of a country whern it comes to fighting a war. That's why I mentioned it.

@USAPropaganda Yeah, sure the US Navy has some excellent training and cutting-edge technology, but we all know how the Australian and dutch submarines have 'sunk' US carriers in Intl. exercices. Or the Israeli AF and their 10:1 tally against USN pilots. Even the Chile AF beaten your Navy pilots in the 80's with some 10:1 kill ratios, just using the outdated Northrop F-5 Tiger II (and badass pilots, of course)

@conmuchooojo I mean, our country is just 16 million people, and we have diesel-engined ships. Perhaps we have better technology than our neighbors bec we've been doing better economically. But that's WAY different than to say we can beat any other Navy of the world.

Of course I'm proud of our armed forces and patriotic, but also down-to-earth and realistic.

It's OK to be proud, but we must be realistic. The Chilean Navy is the best of Chile, and perhaps of western SouthAmerica.

A 16MM ppl. country, with diesel-engined ships, just can't beat the world.

@formworksucks thats silly. england has been beaten in war before. i think germany took over the whole country at one point. that silly to say. also, chile assisted england with argentina. would have been another story if chile did not assist england with that falkland war. honestly, if argentina ever take back the island i would think world war 3 would be coming..............cuz would be planned by another nation as a chess move......take care.

a country of 15 million??? wow the best navy in the world is an understatement. any country that can take chile has to have atleast 60 million plus population...... id rather have 15 million and chile navy.......... u can keep the shit countrys like england who are being taken over by muslims and USA who are being taken over by african americans. Chile will never be taken over by the inside. just a metter of time and these othet country going down by themselves. 100 million plus country lolzzzz
