So there are no democratic voting Catholics or members of the Armed Forces? Members of the Tea Party did recently boo loudly at an active member of the Armed Forces during a Republican debate.  Lots of right wing Protestants really hate the Pope and Catholicism and go as far to claim the Pope is the antichrist. All the "In God we Trust" and "Under God" were added almost 200 years after the founding of the country (in reaction to Communism). The country was founded on Enlightenment principles.
