does it block the sights?
-
yes you can buy a suppressor for just about any caliber.
-
Can you get one for a GLOCK 20
-
I had a Colt 9mm barrel shortened and had a Gemtech 3 lug adapter put on it with Loctite.
-
So, that is a Colt 5" barrel that has a TROS 3 lug adapter which threads onto the end of the 5" barrel? I think there had been some one piece 5" 3-lug barrels for the AR 9mm but I can't find em. If you screw on the 3-lug adapter, do you use loctite, or solder it?
-
Yep you can. They cost around $100 a set, and I paid $30 to have them put in by my pistol smith.
The only time you need / or want a boost is on a pistol barrel that tips to unlock. My sig is a M13.5x1 metric with a "Booster" for a fixed pistol barrel like the 92F you do not need it boosted. On my 9mm AR it is a 3 lug HK style without a boost.
-
so can you see over the trident with them?
BTW does a trident have a booster?

I picked up a set of tall Ameriglo night sights for my SIG P226 for use with this can. The tube dia. is 1.35".

It is a 3 lug on a 5 inch barrel under the rail. I had to register it as a pistol since we can not have SBRs in my state.
Have you ever tried this can with a 3 lug on a carbine? My SWR should be here in a few weeks. I have a SIG P226, and a 9mm AR pistol. I am hoping they will sell the AR upper to me for it.

Not yet, I have an Olympic Arms 9mm upper but I have yet to find anyone who makes a 3-lug barrel for it, everyone seems to focus on the colt/rra style 9mm uppers.

Hot can there? You tighten the can prior to shooting through it with your shirt. lol
So how do you like this combo? I priced it out at around $1200 plus the stamp. I want to step up from the .22lr silencer world and get a 9mm suppressor. I am considering the SWR trident 9 - I hear it's the quietest and my SWR warlock is awesome. Then I'd get either the Glock 19 or CZ-75b. I love my CZ-75b in .40s&w, but glock barrels are easier to find.

The can needs to be tightened after every magazine or two, I had already been shooting it for a while.
It cost me $890 total for the can + adapter + stamp.

I've read of some people using teflon tape to prevent suppressors from backing out. It seems strange to me for an SWR suppressor to need to be retightened that often, though. It could be due to who made the barrel (don't know who made yours) or you could contact SWR about it. Their products rock, but so does their service.

As far as I know that's pretty much normal with every can. The forces involved just cause the can to slowly back out which is why alternative mounting systems like 3-lug/bi-lock were created.
The barrel is from KKM Precision.
