Yes, you will have to include a CD, or cassette of your material to the copyrights office by hard mail even if you do upload your work online, the fees are lower now than 2008 there only $35 and you can upload a collection. The penalty for Willful Copyright infringement is they have to pay restitution to the author and they could get 5 years imprisonment.

The forms and check are not enough. You MUST include a CD, cassette or at least a music sheet . Audio CD is best so they have the FORM, CHECK, AND the very audio CD. That's what I do. I have copyrighted my stuff since 1990.

In spite of the publishing companies troubles to find the copy-right owner, that's not in my agenda as yet.

All i require, to say the very least, is a free alternative to at least have yourself legally protected in eyes of justice.

the stuff u spend on new jordans or weed or club cover or hockey games etc all that money u could use to put an album out.sell it out the trunk.impress a program director.get with yo friends on ur album cover.get a bar code going.canvas wherever u go.word travels when u promote it to ur friends and family.
