that's a trick they used in hk movies too, except reversed. they'd show it in slo-mo and then in real time. i'm saying i liked slo-mo in 80's hk movies as well. and in a couple of modern day movies, like the matrix. but ur right when you say it's overused.

What i liked was the slow mow in Ong Bak. But it wasnt really slow mow, but instead the action scene was shown two times, one fast and one slower. That was cool.
That is the only time, i can think of when i liked slow mow.

slow mo is very effective when used correctly, like to highlight acrobatic moves or stunts. You don't like slo-mo at all?

Awsome! I really like how you guys or not using any slow mow. I Hate slow motion. In these day all action movies are completly ruined by the abusive use of slow motion.

we shot our stuff on DV so we can't undercrank it like a film camera.
but I tweak the footage in post, editing with final cut pro. Most of the ZG guys actually do move pretty damn fast, so I usually just put up by 5-10% depending on the shot.
