Thank you. I'm probably becoming annoying, but I do have one more question: how far back into the past you can go when you think about your heritage?
-
The reason I talk about "leaving culture behind" is that certain Anglo-Australians, and some right-wing radio hosts think that a multicultural Australia is ruining the "Australian culture and way of life" and that immigrants should "ditch their old culture and whole-heartedly embrace Aussie culture".
To me, I will always be Australian, but have a Bosniak heritage.
Simply because my religion is Islam, doesn't make me any less Australian then Joe Schmo from down the street.
-
My country is Australia, I was born here.
I love Australia, and would fight for the country if it was invaded. In fact, I speak English better than I speak Bosnian.
But there is the question of culture & religion. As much as I indulge in Australian culture, I firmly believe that one can never ever forget where he is from.
Integration into a certain society is one thing, but leaving culture behind is something else.
Therefore I proclaim myself as Australian, but with Bosniak heritage.

Maybe you should begin by NOT DOING IT YOURSELF. Read my comment again, there are QUESTIONS (you haven't answered them, by the way) and not conclusions. I asked you some things very plainly BECAUSE I didn't want to jump into conclusions and I wanted to hear you opinion. You accuse people too easily, it tells much about you. One more question: Which one is your country, Bosnia or Australia? (I'm not making any assumptions, I would only like to hear your opinion, if you're willing to share it).
-
And I hope I'll live to see the day when people stop stereotyping and jumping to conclusions.
-
Well, Christians are also brothers and sisters religiously. I hope I'll live to see the day when PEOPLE become brothers and sisters and they stop classifying each other into religious groups...
-
Did I say I consider Christians to be my enemies? No. I have more Christian friends than Muslim ones, as I live in Australia.
The reason I use the term "Muslim Brothers" is because Muslims consider themselves to be "Brothers and Sisters" (in religion). Always the clerics address the congregation as 'brothers and sisters'.
Muslims are brothers and sisters in religion. It has nothing to do with thinking Muslims are better than Christians.
Please do not jump to conclusions next time.
-
What do you mean by going for your Muslim brothers? You cannot vote for your country anyway.
Does the phrase 'Muslim brothers' mean that you consider Christians to be your enemies? Do you think Muslims are better than Christians and Christians should be converted to Islam?

Açıklamadaki çeviri oldukça eksik ingilizceyle yapılmış.
Aynı Piliç Çevirmeyi Chicken Translation şeklinde çevirmek gibi bazı yerler.
