Also this quote could have another meaning than what Damon outlined. It could indeed mean that Freud could read the Irish, but that they are beyond any help because of their stubborness, etc. etc.

Yes he did. In context talking about the Irish, Freud said "This is one race of people for whom psychoanalysis is of no use whatsoever."

I'm from New England and lived in Boston and Cambridge. Her accent is way too exaggerated and fake. Alec's isn't very good either. Great movie though!!
