For this model i bought a cockpit set from Aires, whitch I recomand to everyone who wants to build this model. For the main paint I used Vallejo modelair, 70% of u.s.a grey and 30% of medium sea grey. For the nose of the aircraft I used Tamya acrylic XF-86. For the decals I used Humbrol decalfix and it works very badly so for the next model I will buy som Microsol and Microset and see if it works better than decalfix. I dont wathering the model, Just a bit around the nose(Tamya XF-1 thined with Tamya thiner). RNoAF means: Royal Norwegian Air Force.

PS: I do not recommend this model to a new beginner in scale modelling.

ENJOY THIS VIDEO:) and remember modelling is just about to have fun!!!!!!!

  • Hi, congrats for a very good job !!!!!

What color do you use for the camo? Ghost grey maybe? and what color do you use for the radome?

I have a F-16 MLU 1/48 scale from Kinetic, and I want build it with the RNoAF scheme, but i can't realize what is the correct grey for the camo.

    Thanks and congratulations again !

    Cheers,

    Fabian

  • @BasicModelling yes, Aires have just very nice sets and I will buy som other set for the future models.

The Aires set I bought was the first detailed set in my modeler life :) I will buy som microsol/set hop it will work for me. Thanks for the comment.

  • nice model

  • I have used a lot of the Aires resin for cockpits and other parts, and it's normally very very good and easy to use.. :) As for Decalfix, it is rubbish.. it's never worked for me and I much prefer Johnsons Klear or MicroSol / Set.. Nice to see a Norwegian F-16, you did a very good job.. :) Very nice indeed.. :)
