YouTube has blocked for copyrights reason. Actually, it is my transfer from the vinyl that the publishing date of it is out of copyright. According to the copyright ordinance, the duration of copyright in sound recordings is 50 years (for most of countries). So, this transfer is legal and the copyright of this sound recording is owned by me.

Although I have filled the Dispute Claim and explain the issue but the records companies still claim their copyrights and so YouTube finally blocks my video for nearly all countries.

I use only the left channel for the music because it is a way to bypass the blocking. However, you need to adjust the balance to use only the left channel to watch this video (it is quite trouble for some systems).

  • I guess, almost everyone has come here thanks to Murakami, and his book Kafka on the shore... at least i do...

  • Just adjust your PC speaker letting the left speaker alone work, and welcome to the sound of the Golden Trio Hoshino enjoyed at the coffee shop without being bothered by that flat voice!!

  • Yes, i am here thanks to Murakami =)

  • @AKSTERSKY -They are almost on a par. Both superb and nobody else even close.Bravo C,T,C, as well.

  • Sharing your observation ,thhe Corot,Thibaud and Casals play I like better

  • I'm maybe the only one who hasn't read Kafka on the Shore, only Kafka himself.

This is much better than the version with Piatigorsky, Feuermann is a much better cellist. Not a big fan of Heifetz or Rubinstein. The Cortot, Thibaud and Casals version is by far my favorite. That said, this is in a totally different league than contemporary playing.

  • I'm reading Kafka on the shore and I play this whenever it is the part of hoshino and Mr. nakata. :')

  • @FranklyMsShankley

Indeed, a charming book. I did the same

  • Murakami brought me here too, my fourth book of his. 'Kafka on the Shore' was a great read, but kinda fizzled at the end I thought. I wonder what became of Hoshino? I hope he became an outstanding classical music critic for a leading newspaper. This piece doesn't do that much for me though, I find it a little capricious and prefer more sombre melancholy moods. As for the annoying voice, I use earphones so I can just remove the right channel from my ear. It starts up again at the end.
