Formed in Dallas in 1968, The Shoppe was a band that had 8 charting singles between 1980 and 1986, landing one top 40 song ("Doesn't Anybody Get High On Love Anymore", #33 in 1981). I haven't heard that one yet, but this song here was their last to chart, reaching #47 in 1986. It was from their only album for the short-lived MTM label. It's per the usual for 1986, somewhat synthy-country-poppy, but worth a listen nonetheless.
WOW! ive loved the shoppe since i was a little bitty guy and i always will! my family went to the washington state fair every year and saw them. great memories i will never forget! if you have more of their music please post it! thank you so much for this one!

I remember the band...But i don't remember this song...But then i wasn't in country radio in 1986...I do remember their big hit from '81...This is a nice mellow song...A good song that might be a candidate for revival by another artist in the future.
