(Fake) Hitman Reboot with Jason Statham

What if they rebooted Hitman with Jason Statham in the lead role?

I saw the new trailer for the film The Mechanic and just had to make this trailer.

The video game series is an excellent, stylish and very fun stealth/action hybrid bolstered by a story incorporating elements of international intrigue, morality, and science fiction. Although the official film with Timothy Oliphant was fine in a mindless sort of way Hitman as a character and a franchise could be so much more. The character of Agent 47 is a clone, working for a mysterious organization as a professional murderer. He is unparalleled at what he does but although bred to be incapable of destructive emotions subtly suggests remorse in his actions. He owns a pet bird for instance and in the second game he briefly joins the church. This combination of efficient and graceful death-dealing as well as calm calculation and striving to understand a life without killing would be a simple but effective film if done correctly. Or, if subtlety is impossible to capture, at least let Agent 47 kick some ass! In the real movie Timothy plays 47 as a brooding and wisecracking dweeb. Jason Statham could show the power and precision the character was always supposed to possess as well as the maturity and intercity.
