It took a while... maybe 5 hours start to finish? My hand was numb at the end! (and thanks :)

is it just normal henna you use? and then when its dry do you leave it on? coz im thinking of maybe doing some on my drum, but i dont wanna ruin the drum!!

I used henna powder mixed with lemon juice. Leave out the essential oils for drum heads, as the oils can damage the skin.
Henna will only take on unsealed, natural skin drum heads. If you don't know if yours is unsealed, you can ask at your local music store.
