Russian Circles is a three piece instrumental rock/metal band from Chicago. Similar to fellow Chicago residents Pelican, Russian Circles play instrumental, sprawling music which runs the gamut of heavy discordant metal, to soft delicate passages. They are also known for their energetic live shows, which include tours with Minus the Bear, Chin Up Chin Up, Coheed & Cambria, Mono, and Pelican as well as an appearance at the 2006 SXSW.[1]. They were also the opening band for Tool while playing in the United Kingdom for their 2007 tour.

Geneva is the third full-length album by the instrumental rock band Russian Circles, and was released on October 20th, 2009. Recording started in May 2009 with Brandon Curtis of The Secret Machines.

Great song and great album !

But the melody they play at the beginning is something they took from some other band and slowed a bit. But I can't remember what it is... (just remember someone was singing on it, and only one lyric "oh so sublime") Does anyone know ?
