Amazing Brass Band Jam at DC Street Festival

Filmed at a DC neighborhood art festival in September 2007, we stumbled onto an incredible gospel brass band from a neighborhood church that had set up an impromptu jam on a street corner. As they played a huge crowd gathered to see and hear them perform. These guys played their hearts out, and the show was truly amazing! I was lucky to catch one of their numbers with my little camera (a Canon PowerShot S410 4MP Digital Elph.)

Yep! That's Daddy Grace's Band...we were little kids in Buffalo, NY waiting every year for their Convocation, parades, floats, and firehose water baptisms. I saw Daddy Grace at least 3 times as a child. He scared the have mercy out of us!

I cannot get enough of these bands. LOVE IT. I wish they had a cd out of them, I would invest. Get your praise on. Pick 'em up and put 'em down.

Yes SIRRR!!!!! Good God Almighty! Nobody - and I mean, NOBODY plays like UHOP bands. Nobody. Been listening to them since 1965 and I'm tellin ya, I haven't heard near band with a sound close to them. That may be a bias opinion but it isn't intended to be. I've witnessed them at Sunday Service, Convocation and at Funerals. If there is a thing such as a Sound of Heaven, they are truly it! God Bless All the Bands of the UHOP. Gud God!
