Majnu, why not Qc2 to blockade the advancing pawn, stopping revealed checks that were to later develop?

Agreed with that whites h-pawn is extremely dangerous in your variation. I think black can improve playing 26. ...Kc7 instead of trading knights with 26. ...Nxd3. this since if white wants to trade knights, it means after 27. Nxc5 Qxc5 the queen is already more active, saves a tempo.
If on the other hand 27. Nb4 maybe 27. ...Ne4 where 28. fxe4 leads to mate by ...Qe3+ etc. But the white king probably finds safety with 28. Kf4!!

I missed that move. Lets see, Rxd3 Qh8+ Kd7 Nxd3 Nxd3 Rxd3+ Kc7 perhaps Rd8 or Qd8+ Kb8 Queenside is momentarily undeveloped with King in b8. White can possibly get f7 h7 pawns before black unscrambles with Qc6 a5 and Ra6 White can try to bring h pawn up. No computer, so not so certain.

Not totally sure I understand correctly, but if 23. Qh6+ Ke8 24. Qxh7 can't all black problems easily be solved by 24. ...Rxd3 ?
It gives up the exchange but that's of little value since black is up a rook and pawn.
