Testing of the Google Lunar X Prize Robot Red Rover prototype in Pittsburgh. The team runs the robot on a 500 meter course through an old steel mill site transformed into a lunar yard.

  • @BrownHippyPant Click on our profile to view other videos. Also, keep in mind that you can't write complicated robotics software, make space-rated electronics, or create thermally appropriate building materials with your k'nex. Many of the major aspects of the rover development are not apparent in the physical prototypes.

  • @BrownHippyPant In the nearly three years since this video was posted, we've thought of thousands of ways to improve it. :) This video shows the first version of the rover design - the current design is very different.
