brilliant move. McLame gets a big surge of interest in his campaign, unites the base, makes experience a central issue, and no one will not vote for McCain because they think the VP isn't ready to be president.

Obama robbed women of their first woman president by not selecting Hillary as VP. He threw Hillary supporters under the bus. Even if they don't vote for McCain, they will not be voting for Obama.
McCain at least reached out to women voters picking Palin. If 1/4 vote for McCain (4.5 million) and 1/4 just do not vote (4.5 million loss for Obama), then that is a 9 million vote swing.
And 1/4 is a conservative estimate. ;)
