  • This woman along with Phyllis Hyman where some serious vocalist. They are the epitome of what real singers are...no artificial studio magic to enhance their voices. Put all of these young so-called singers to shame when compared to these ladies of soul..Phyllis, Aretha, Gladys, Diana, Jean, Chante Moore, Ledisi, Jennifer Holiday and others. Forget the yodeling of Beyonkie-Donk-Beyonce, and the screaming & electronics of these other non-singers...Real singers is what's up.

  • Absolutely wonderful rendition of Dindi sung by the elegant, Jean Carn. Thanks for this post.

    Peace

  • This is love, this is beauty, this is blackness.

  • Young ladies today really think they can sing--it's embarrasing to look at them doing what they call singing and not knowing they sound awful--however, they have never had anyone in their generation who really could sing--so sad.

  • @nubonyx this is so true

  • Thanks youtube!!! I have been able to create playlists featuring songs I'd never thought I would hear again... some I have forgotten like Ms. Carnes version of Dingi... These songs were instrumental in my emotional development when I was a teenager, and hearing them now feeks like a soothing salve to my soul....

  • I STILL HAVE THE ALBLUM IN PERFECT CONDITION.....THANK YOU NORM FOR GREAT MUSIC I CAN LISTEN TO TODAY~~~

  • @AsnCarE025: that was inspiring

  • We all have a favorite response to music. Everyone has 1 that speaks to their very soul. For me, THIS IS IT. Nothing else compares. In my 5th decade, and it still causes me to pause with wonderment . Talent, timeless, and awe inspiring only begin to explain what I feel when it cues up. Amazing !!!!

  • @MrConneckt19 thanks..

  • @MrConneckt19, it's a damn shame that music is so watered down these days isn't it? Music was was so raw and so rich back then. I was a kid when I first heard this song and I fell in love with Jean Carn's voice. How can someone listen to Beyonce' after listening to this?

  • @broke2471 My sentiments precisely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
