Here I introduce myself and what the blog is about. I was nervous, so please be kind. I was disappointed to find that A. QuickTime, which my new camera uses, doesn't work with Movie Maker (duh). Hopefully, I can get a little more creative once I have managed some software...and B. I look rather washed out. Next time I might even have to wear makeup, ugh!

I could have redone it later, when it would have been a little snazzier, but it wouldn't have been spontaneous. I wanted spontaneous.

Next blog will most likely be terminology.

  • I am 16 years old and bipolar, but I really do not think I am because I have not been taking my meds for over a year and I am getting no complaints from my parents and stuff, because they think I am taking them. So, if they dont see anything wrong and they still think I am taking them but im not then do you think I am since this is happening?

  • @katieg2012 I think you should tell your parents you haven't been taking your meds. Some people with bipolar don't cycle as frequently/close together as others. Some can go years without symptoms/normal mood before they have another episode. Or maybe you were wrongly diagnosed. I would suggest you tell your parents you would like to continue to monitor how you do, remaining watchful of symptoms & that you will make them aware if you feel low or high.

  • I'm bipolar II but I'm 16 years old...so my type of bipolar is not define...but I'm trying to live my life as normal as I can...thank you, I feel lonley with this...is not something that everybody have so...thanks

  • When I was 15 yrs old the doctors thought I had just depression but they had it wrong. That was before most doctors thought kids could have bipolar disorder. So maybe it is good that you are getting treatment early. It might have saved me a lot of trouble if they had gotten the diagnosis right earlier.

  • Hi, I would like to say thank you for talking about Bipolar 1 so honestly. You are very intelligent and well spoken. I have watched all of your Bipolar Story videos because I am trying to understand the mental illness as much as possible. I recently had to leave my boyfriend, who is 25, because he had a "mental breakdown" and has since been diagnosed Bipolar 1. He has also suffered from being a shy kid and never being able to make/keep friends because of his high anxiety and bipolar disorder. H

  • I am a teenager and was in a down stage but now i am fine, do you think it was just a phase and i should tell my parents that I havent been taking my meds or should I just keep on doing what im doing?

  • Good intro vid. Social anxiety i can identify with as well as the bipolar. Your vids are helping me to understand my bipolar :-) Its always better to hear from someone who has bipolar rarther than someone who has just read books on it.

    :-)

    Luv
