Next up is "Djent! Djent!" and I managed to get a solid take in completion. It was tough slamming those 16th note rimshots down at the tune's tempo. There's an intriguing pattern occurring around 0:58 that is comprised of a stack cymbal and high-pitched crash being played in a pattern in 3-8 (each), but within different parts of the bar(s). At the end, Taylor automated the room mics so they'd increase in the mix; this is something similar to what Hayato had programmed.

Is there any advice on composition of djent drumming? Like, as in anything special you focus on when composing drum pieces for a djent band? I'm hopefully going to be joining a rather djenty band, and I've never had to physically push myself beyond the limits of old school thrash metal, and I'm just wanting some basic advice for djent..
