Well i boarded the train a few months back twice on 31st dec,2010 and 1st jan 2011...there is no such change in locos at manmad..train stops for 5 min at manmad only..and the electrification between aurangabad and manmad is still going on..but this is a very good train

The electric to diesel transition takes place at Manmad Jn. My guess is, this train is run completely diesel so as to save the changeover time in Manmad, which otherwise takes atleast half an hour.

even then the gradient is steep hence bankers are required even for a 9 coach train

This train will be a completely diesel hauled train as it does not have a halt at Igatpuri & there are shortage of WCAM3's. This train gets a WDG3A Shakti regularly but on that day it got a KYN WDM2.

The train would still need to halt at Igatpuri in both directions. Dn. halt for banker detachment and Up halt for brake testing.

Sir, according to me I think that for just 9 coaches + WDM2, will there will be a need for WAG5 bankers? I have heard that any train above 11 coaches require bankers?
