  • Thanks a lot for posting! One of my favorites from Karen and Richard.

  • Thank You! =)

  • Me fascinaron las fotos... Especialmente aquellas que parecen dibujadas... Congratulations...

  • Muchas gracias por tus comentarios!

  • Beautiful song, with Karen's sweet voice, peppy and alive, I like the photo of her at 3:53. Thanks for the video.

  • you're welcome!

  • I found the "Lovelines" album quite by accident a long time ago & didn't hesitate to buy it. So when I sat down to listen to it, I was blown away! Just can't understand why it didn't become a huge hit.

  • @Kateyhall

This is actually a solo effort produced by Phil Ramone and written by Rod Temperton of "Rock With You" and "Off The Wall" fame. Richard was just out of rehab and out of commission when she worked on this material.

  • Something tells me the pitch was sped up...

  • @steveatl40 The disco sound was still selling in 1979/1980... I think she definitely would've had a disco hit with "Lovelines" and/or "My Body Keeps Changing My Mind" at least.

  • @steveatl40 I woulndt say disco was dead in 1981 it just went into disco funk R&B style tracks.

  • This was Karen's solo album.....not Carpenters. Just Karen and Phil Ramone. Brilliant record.

  • This track is from a solo album recorded in 1979/1980, and Richard had nothing to do with it. Although Karen thought it very good, record executives (including brother Richard) thought it not worth releasing. (In fact, Richard reportedly called it "shit.") So, sadly, Karen decided to shelve it, which is why it wasn't released until years after her death.

  • This song blew me away when I first heard it..

  • @melismatica Thank you for the history of the song. I appreciate that! Have a great day!
