Singer-songwriter legend-in-his-own mind Tom Marshalek (who oddly enough, writes his own PR as well as songs) sings the retro-futuristic funk hit "Time Space Machine" before a non-existent audience in his living room. Solar curtains, flashing spotlights, and a fog machine do absolutely nothing for the trippy,sci-fi ambiance of the "video set". What does boggle the mind, however, is trying to figure out just where this 46-year-old-never-married-guy-still-trying-to-pretend-his-way-to-being-a-rockstar's hairline is headed? Even more puzzling: is it possible that a funkified science fiction ballad played on an acoustic guitar will rise above its unusual subject matter and mediocre, off-the-cuff production to become a huge #1 hit in the Republic of Tuvalu? Asked about this by the author of these liner notes, Marshalek responds "the solar curtains really save me a bundle on heating and cooling. And by the way, YouTube videos don't need to be packaged in liners, in fact they can't be, so why are you writing liner notes anyway??" Another puzzle, a koan really, posed by this brilliant and enigmatic figure...

  • Why can we travel through time? I do think time travel is really real possible IF there is never only one universe. If the multiple worlds model of quantum mechanics is the right model than time travel MAY be possible even though necessarily feasible, that yes, we can go back in time to a calf roping photograh in what year it was taken, as if to try and find out what he swings and throws the rope like and what he ties up the calf like, it would never ever be a lot of work to draw it, never!
