Album: The Somberlain (1993) This Swedish blackmetal band is my favorite amongst metal with a melodic tone. This entire album is a masterpiece, along with their later album, "Storm of the light's bane" (1995). They were pretty quiet until 2006, when "Reinkaos" was released (Totally new, medeocre style..)... anywho, the Band's Vocals, Jon Noedvedt committed suicide, and Dissection is no more.

Dissection is blackened death more then black metal you can hear strong influneces of the gothenburg sound in their music especially on stormlights bane

Dissection is one of my favorite bands I even have the inverted cross/trident logo tattooed on me that's how much of a fan I am

@annostriker I knew the whole album cover being all "King Diamond - Abigail"ish wasn't a coincidence. That was more or less a tribute for him and/or Mercyful Fate.

@metalmilvoid: yeah I have it. it was OK and all but it was a totally different style - they were really going somewhere with storm of the lights bane... reinkaos after that was like soft rock. I'm unsure whether Jon Noedvedt blew his brains out before or after reinkaos, but something was deffinitely missing there.
