Design philosophy of Saab car division (later Saab Automobile) and the 900-project!

Film clips probably from the Nyköping plant (not Trollhättan) and from the car engine manufacturing at Scanias facility in Södertälje.
In the film there are clips indicating several beautiful manual moments, a quite complex car to produce with a lot of components involved, which of course means a fun and unique product to own!

Long live the Swedish nisch car maker Saab Automobile and former Saab-Scania group.

Don´t waste this unique brand GM, he world is full of look-alike and noname cars!

  • I saw one of these sitting in a run-down garage yard with its engine ripped out and no hood. It almost made me cry to see a car as special as this to be treated like that. I love Saab's I have one.

  • Classic :) Thank's for a great video with one of the best cars ever.

  • The Saab Car Division of Saab-Scania had its headquarters in Nyköping, and the Spare Parts & Accessories Distribution Centre is there now, but no Saabs has been manufactured there.

  • The classic 900. One of the greatest cars built. There is just something about the way they drive, look and feel. I miss mine... a lot!

  • I have '84 EFI verion

  • Before GM came and ruined Saab

  • this video depresses me

  • Perfect car!

  • Beautiful car. I had always wanted one when I was little. Now older, I have one and love it dearly. Its such a joy to drive. Thanks for the video. It really shows how much painstaking effort SAAB put into each one of their cars.

  • @bonifaciomusso This is Aprés un Rêve by Gabriel Fauré. What rendition this is though is beyond me (does anyone know?). This one seems to be played slower than normal but it sounds wonderful.

  • These are the first models with the B-engines and look at 2.38, the turbosystem even has a seperate wastegate.
