Of course, Gidget had "no nipples", 'catndryer'. ABC, the network that originally aired the series in the 1965-'66 season, also saw to it she didn't have a navel when wearing her two piece bathing suits, either; they made it quite clear that Gidget, who was supposed to be barely 16, wasn't supposed to be (or look) "sexy"....and Sally was pushing 19 when she filmed this!
