Felicia's Birthday Party, 1993

Frankie has joined the group celebrating Felicia's birthday, and they are all gathered at the booth at TOPS as Felicia finishes opening her birthday presents. Felicia loves Lorna's gift, which is a baby picture of Lorna in the frame that Lorna and Kevin bought earlier in the day. Felicia thanks Lorna for the gift and announces to everyone that it's a picture of Lorna as a baby. Everyone "awwww"s, and Kevin, Jenna and Dean all pass the picture around and look at it. Felicia then says that she wants to say something. First, she thanks Cass and Jenna for putting together this little shindig. Felicia says she knows that she hasn't been herself lately, and she's going to try very hard to be the friend that they all remember, the friend that they obviously care so much about. She thanks them all for sharing this day with her, and the others applaud. Cass, Rachel, and Lorna confer in the corner, and Cass asks if anyone besides him feels like a total hypocrite. Rachel asks if Lorna was able to reach Victor. Lorna replies that yes, she was, and the intervention is set for one week from today at Lorna's apartment. After Lorna leaves Cass and Rachel, she goes over to Felicia, who hugs her. Lorna asks what that was for, and Felicia tells her it was for making her birthday so very special. Felicia says she would think a lot about Lorna around this time of year and wonder if she was ever going to spend her birthday with her very own daughter, and here she is. Felicia knows that she and Lorna have had a lot of difficulties, but Felicia is so thrilled that Lorna is in her life. Lorna manages a small smile. Dean pulls Jenna aside and asks her what happened when she and Felicia were upstairs together. Jenna says that Felicia was great, and that Dean was right: she should have told Felicia right away that she was pregnant. Jenna thinks that Felicia understands what Jenna is really going through right now better than anybody. Lorna comes over then and asks Dean and Jenna if they're ready for some good news. Dean asks what it is. Lorna talked to Stark today and Dean has to get ready for his first gig, because they're going all out on this one. Felicia sees Rachel getting ready to leave and thanks her for coming by. Rachel says this probably isn't the right place to say this... Felicia already knows what Rachel wants to say, and says that she really is sorry. Rachel was hoping she could talk Felicia out of it. Felicia sees Franco bringing out the cake then and tells Rachel they'll talk. She promises she'll call Rachel, then heads over to meet Franco, calling to everyone that it's cake.
