not a gtr fanboy and don't like them much: gtr = very capable car for the average joe, very well designed and has lots of potential, cannot deny it that, hats off for sure.....end of the day however I'd rather drive the sl65 at 20mph down the road than 100mph in the gtr....to each his own.

Everytime a NIssan GTR wins, that's like 98% of the time and when it does, people always have an excuse for the other car, this is reality, don't get butt hurt lol.

i somehow got the feeling it's most of all the transmission. the GTR shifts 4 times with a long last gear. the merc did twice. so either the driver is sleeping and didn't even start with the best possible gear or it's just of think of gear length. of course there is still a big difference in hp, but i want to point that out

@Yamakaaa The GTR have extremely short gearing compared to other cars. For example, the Corvette ZR1 can hit 64mph in first gear, whereas the GTR takes 3 gears to reach the same speed. Shorter gear = quicker acceleration, but runs out of steam at top end. In this case, the GTR won simply because it's much lighter and has more power than the Mercedes. Also, the Mercedes was just stock.

@olaguma I wanted to continue this discussion... But than I thought why the hell would I tie a rope to me GTR and drag a damn Mercedes ? When I can simply do this " 0:30 "
