Here is a short video of my 4 month old Elos system 70. The inhabitants include Maroon clown pair, helfrichi firefish, mystery wrasse, chromis, GBTA, cleaner shrimp, SPS frags, zoanthid frags, hammer and frogspawn, purple chalice, and monti caps.

Equipment includes stock Elos sump and skimmer/ato, Phoenix 250w halide, Vortech MP40wES, Reefkeeper lite, and two reactors daisy chained for GFO and GAC.

I dose 2-part and have a screen top to prevent jumps.

  • I have uploaded more recent vidoes of my tank if anyone was wondering. Check out my channel.

  • No alex, they havnt. They mind their own and have been mostly docile for 3-4 years.

  • @justinzeedrich Do you think two MP10, with one being at each end of the Elos 70 would be able to provide enough flow for SPS? thank you so much in advance for your time.

  • @rarityd Yes, two would be perfect. better than one MP40 for sure.

  • i like the rock setup but looks weird without sand.

  • @saliva911 I've since added sand for a beautiful Blue Spotted Jawfish. Maybe I'll get a new video up when I can afford the time :)

  • have the maroon clowns killed off the rest of the tank yet?

  • wow, I just realized a beautiful rock works you have done here. WOW!

  • thank you so very much for your reply.

  • @rarityd Most people will recommend an MP40 for an elos 70, for sps I would say the same. If you are keeping LPS or anemones then one MP10 would be perfect. Since I keep BTAs only now, my MP40 is at 25%.

  • Sweet aqua-scaping! I run my Elos 70 barebottom also. BB may look weird to some but those who run intense water flow understand ;-)
