@charms71 but I read that George C. Scott didn't like some of the over the top stuff that was used... they had a good time making it.. The Russian barely containing his amusement at Sellers over the top final scene.. "Where's major Kong?".....

Kubrick made Turgison take numerous retakes to breaking point but look at the outcome! Great acting!! Oscar deserving!
