Carcassonne is the site of the massacre of thousands of Cathars by the evil RC church in 1209, the streets ran with blood as the Inquisition went about it's dirty work, that should never be forgotten!

I live in Carcassonne, christmas is deffinatley the best time to come, they decorate la cite as well as the newer town, it looks absloutley amazee atm ! ...

This is a great video! My wife and I stayed at a hotel just outside the walls (we couldn't get a room in any hotel inside) and visited the cite every day. What a wonderful place, so much history, gorgeous restaurants and lovely people.
