...the predominant thought behind this concept is that finer / subtler nuances of raagas and rasas can be bought out in this way...
Gyan Seth: most artists prefer to perform solo rather than jugalbandi- why? is it the lack of confidence
VK: true: it needs good self confidence- and a large heart / humility to appreciate the others interpretation..it needs a different mental outlook to be humble and also be good at your own art..(and then the interaction fades off)

Cenkjeekhan- what vilayat khan saheb says that - jugalbandi is not an interaction / interplay happening between just two persons- it can happen between 12 people too... besides the names like jugalbandi ( 2 persons) tigalbandi( between 3 people) chaugal bandi ( between 4 people) regardless of people..a musical interaction happening between more than one person in the equation can be rightfullly called as "Jugalbandi"
