Response to a letter I got from Kathy. Life after gastric bypass is not weird, it is fine and you totally get used to it.

  • People on the more negative side do comment about the effects of nutritional deficiencies. I am going to try as hard as I can to stay up on my vitamins....even if that hurts a bit. Do you have any advice or things to share about your nutrition regimen?

  • check out my latest vid.. I am using an iPod app "Lose It!" to keep track of my food and exercise and i am using a To Do List to get all my supplements in

  • Hey you look amazing and thank you for being so open. I had my heart set on the band as I know people who had it and they are fine. Unfortunately due to a hernia it is not an option. My question is have you had problems with becoming anemic or decificent in anything? I know this is a common problem and one that band patients do not face. Do you have any other health concerns since the surgery?? Would you do the surgery again if you had a choice and know what you know now??

  • I am anemic bit i take iron now

  • I have enjoyed this video so much! I have been so worried about freaking out after the surgery and watching scary depressing videos about it. But you are so at ease and it really brings me comfort. Because I know this surgery is a step in my life I need to seriously take. I am looking forward to watching more of your videos.

  • This video really helped put some fears to rest before my surgery! Thank u so much.

  • Thank you for this video. Answered so many of my questions.

  • Hi my name is Nate, and thank you so much, for posting this video, cuz im going to do the surgery in may, and I was freaking out, because of the life changes, but thank you so much, you made me feel really bettter, now....

  • hey i don't want to sound rude but whats with the protein shakes. . . im going to get the surgery next month and i am not a fan of those shakes. cant i get protein some other way instead of those shakes. & the whole purray . . . right after surgery must i purray or can i smash it like you say? :)

  • Everyone commenting here talks about gastric bypass surgery like its a cancer patient getting a life-saving surgery. Surely no-one actually NEEDS this surgery, right? If you're so scared of getting surgery then put the cake down and go on a diet and lose weight a normal way. Seems like a typical lazy American shortcut.

  • SO CAN I EAT CHEESE AS OFTEN AS I LIKE AS IM SO SCARED OF REGAINING WEIGHT IM 8 WEEKS PRE OP I CAN EAT BASICALLY MOST THINGS BUT LITTLE AND OFTEN
