In MMA, a mounted arm bar starts with grabbing an opponent's limb and pressing it down in order to gain an advantage. Learn a couple of variations on mounted arm bars with helpful tips from a martial arts coach in this free video on mounted arm bars in MMA.

  • this is such a simple armbar but very effective, i use it all the time.

  • Notice it was a demo and he explained each step in detail. If he were to use it in a fight he'd obviously go faster. Besides, the 1st variation doesn't really need that much speed. Once you've managed to plot you knee beside his head, you've basically pinned him. From there just make sure you swing your leg around and over his face and the technique is pretty much done.

  • @Leendoncasti the way your legs are wrapped and you should have a tight enough grip the main part to get right in this from my experience which is just having submission only fights with mates and they do get a bit outof hand sometimes :L, is you have to clamp your legs
