And I don't remember the movies having dropships like that.
I watched StarShip Troopers and I don't remember the Boats looked like that. I thought they were wider and bigger with a cockpit that faces the same way the exits the troopers come out of.
And I think he made the screenshots from Gmod.

No. Halo generally speaking, took ALOT from previous movies, games and novels. That landing craft was just the standard Starship troopers landing/retrieval boat from the movies. Pretty decent design though. Very plain, not flashy. The one in the series looks like a more realistic design though.
