Hey I was just wondering how having a wooly husky is. I may have one soon and I was wondering if the hair is harder to maintain and they say they dont fair will in cold weather more so because their retains moisture

@Crazykitty156 I've never had a short-furred husky, but I know that wooly's needed to be brushed very often ( or you will have fur ALL over your house ). This is especially true when they blow their coats, they basically shed tons and tons of fur. As for the cold weather, I think he thrives in it. :) I will put it this way: if its cold outside he usually waits by the back door at night wanting to go out, so he definitely likes it.

I'm considering getting my first husky, i hear they can be difficult, diggers, escapists, and great shedders, but i think im up for it, any advice you can give me? And is this dog mixed with something because It has a beautiful coat.

Yes, that sounds like Juno. >:P

He is very stubborn, but we have had no official training for him and hes only snuck out of the house two times (luckily we caught him). And I would have plenty of lint rollers/brushes ready as soon as summer comes, because they shed enough to make another husky. :D if it gets hot where you live, I would definately reccomend an air cleaner/fan that he can lay down by.

As far as I know hes all husky, but we dont have papers for him. :p

Juno has a wooly coat, thats why his hair is long. He is a very handsome dog!!
