  • I know an old guy who supposedly had one of the first volkswagens and then wrote a letter to VW saying that if you add a second muffler tail pipe it makes it quieter. The next year they implemented it and never wrote back to him or gave him any credit. Well...at least that's the story.

  • @Figilswif once a single tip engine is in the car, it is a much quieter ride than a pea shooter exhaust for sure. Every 55 and earlier bug I drive is so quiet on the highway that I would have a tough time even hearing the engine.
