Bob Gibson was the league's most-feared pitcher in his day. Watch him tell Chris Russo a hilarious story about why even a compliment got Ron Fairly plunked, when Bob Gibson and Reggie Jackson visited the Mad Dog Radio Studio to talk about their book, "Sixty Feet, Six Inches." You can hear Chris Russo on Mad Dog Radio SiriusXM Ch. 86. Get the schedule and a free trial at http://www.siriusxm.com/maddogradio
@Sugalean He actually seems pretty congenial. It'd be cool to shake the hand of the fellow who posted a 1.12 era. Amazing stat!

Game needs more guys like Gibson these days. Can you imagine what he would have done to Ortiz or bonds if the did their little home run celebrations? The next at bat there would have been a good chance they were going into a vegetative state!

Look at all those guys sneaking inside thru the door to peek at the two greats in the studio! I bet they had some urgent business in there . . .

He played for the Harlem Globetrotters, but quit because he could not stand the clowning.
