Perry was withholding evidence all those years. :)

LOL, did you happen to notice what the man looks like? That was odd for an old black and white show..(or movie?)

I agree. Perry Mason was one of the best shows ever. Excellent cast and great stories every week. Too bad tv has fallen into this fake reality crap now. I wish CBS would speed up the dvd sets though. It is going to be a year between the end of Season 5 and the first half of Season 6 (which comes out in October 2011). Also what is with this half a season per set crap?? Come on people. Shows used to have 30 to 39 episodes per season, that was the norm.

Well said & well put! The late great Raymond Burr was known as one of the most generous people in show biz. And he visted the troops overseas many times. And to top it off by being an extremely kind, humble & gentle man is just peachy. THANKS for your heartwarming comment!!! :)

Raymond Burr was gay and had the same loving partner until the day he died. I am so glad that people are starting to realize that sexual orientation does not matter, just the love does. He was a warm, generous, caring person. So glad his love made the world a better place.

I think the comment was more about Della Streets opinion of the man appearance then Perry Mason being gay. But we are so steeped on sex now that any comment like that would seen that way.

No wonder he hired the handsome Paul Drake

:):) Very interesting indeed. :) Yes, Raymond was a "raging fag" til his dying day! And a handsome one at that. :)
The "young man" was played by Tom Drake, also gay. He had a successful career for a few years at MGM in the 40's. LOVE Barbara Hale! Thanks for this clip.
