My 1st place favorite is Stella's 3.0 CSL. Without a dubt the best BMW Art car to date.
2nd fav is the 1986 Robert Rauschenberg BMW 635 CSi Art Car with the artist's trademark photographic transfer collage technique.
My 3rd favorite is by conceptual artist , Jenny Holzer takes the BMW Art car to a whole new level, covering a white 1999 V12 LMR with Chrome letters made of reflecting metal foil, outlined in phosphorescent, "Protect me from what I Want".

I bought the 1:18 scale model by AutoArt, that's how much I love this car. I love these old BMWs. Car design before CAD.

Warhol's treatment of the M1 was slop.
Totally disappointing. Warhol's the man, but he was asleep at the wheel for this commission.
