and something else, they could be interfering with the lid itself.Even at it's tiniest edge. That would also make sense.. Sorry for those posts, couldn't help myself :P Just a random brainstorm. I would apreciate some thoughts on this

When an electrons course is observed that only acknowledges that exact course it took. The observation just ignore all the other courses different electrons took.
Could someone post something at this? Just making a conversation. weird :)

something doesn't seem right.. Marbles and high mass things are supposed to go in a line cause the resistance of the air is too small for them to change course. But when you accelerate an electron even at high speeds and even in a HIGH vacuum, there are a LOT of particles between the electron starting point and the target. There could be particles we aren;t even aware of. There are though a lot that we know off and they can react with an accelerating electron and change it's course.

They left out the important last step. Physicist's left the the recording device on but destroyed the data they gathered and the pattern reverted to a wave like one. It was not the act of measuring but the knowledge of the observer.

This according to "in search of Schrodinger's cat" by John Gribbin.

@luked66 Yes asshat, you can still do nice cartoons yet not mix in metaphysics such as "electron has a mind, he knows when you are looking at it". Ascribing human traits to a non-human animal or object might be the way to go to tell children stories in general but it can have disastrous consequences when you are trying to educate them about the reality. What I was reacting to was the deliberate attempt to bring in metaphysics into scientific explanations. Can one draw ping pong balls instead?
