As I sit at home, NOT at the race, on this 92nd running, I am saddened by not being there to hear the pre-race activities. Your film helps, but I am old school and really miss the big band sounds emanating very early race morning, and Tom Carnegie, echoing from the thousands of yet-to-be-filled seats. The spectacle of bands, Mr. Nabors back home again (too ill last year), the balloons, the SYE! command, then the roar of 33 turbo-charged rockets flying into turn 1, lap 1! The best-pre TG split!
