Anderson demonstrates three highly effective techniques for countering single leg attacks: the Switch, the Spladle Throw, and the Khabarelli Throw. These techniques come from his DVD titled "Takedowns & Takedown Defense for MMA", which is part of his MMA Ultimate Set DVD series. Also available is Anderson's new book titled "MMA Instruction Manual: The Muay Thai Clinch, Takedowns, Takedown Defense, and Ground Fighting". • look at all the sweat on the mat

  • @rickyd454 These are single leg counters, Chael was grabbing both legs.

  • Cool. But it doesn't work against Chael Sonnen.

  • BONUS: during the spladle, hook the leg you didnt grab already with the the leg your opponent is holding and roll backwards. you should have both his legs so you can pressure his head with your stomach to pull off a submission.

  • @TinkaManinka good thing you dont have to worry about lesnar tackling you, since hes retired

  • hes lifting that guy like lifting a piece of stick

  • Chael Sonnen teaching triangle defense, and Anderson Silva teaching takedown defense. How backwards is that?

  • U GOTTA ACT FAST TO PULL THESE OFF

  • Sonnen clicked the dislike button

  • WHAT IF BROCK LESNAR TACKLES YOU? Someone with his size will pick you up and brake you in half in the air.

No I'm really curious if this will work against heavier opponent?
