Beta stirling engine - moteur stirling Beta

This is a Beta type stirling engine homebuilt by my Father in law. Cylinder is a damper tube and piston is made of leather.

I think it is actually a beta inline which means your father is one of they very few to achieve this configuration! twice if not 3 times as hard to run the rods inline! keep it forever. It's awesome!

Excellent demonstration of the simplicity of the beta Stirling. I am in the design stage of reverse engineering one of these myself, turning it into a cooler...this video of yours has gone a long way in clearing up some confusion regards the "heat fins" position.
